PM Albanese not wanting to encourage Opposition’s ‘gotcha’ questions: Clennell
Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese declined to name the cash rate when asking during parliament’s Question Time on Tuesday.
“Yesterday he said it was 1.3, it was 1.35 I think and today it went up to 1.85,” Mr Clennell said.
“He declined to do it there. I guess he’s not wanting to encourage these continued ‘gotchas’ after a couple of mistakes during the election campaign.
“Looks like the opposition will persist with this tactic.”
