Inflation is ‘not being driven’ by high wage growth: Burke
Employment Minister Tony Burke says inflation is “not being driven” by high wage growth.
Mr Burke discussed wages growth and inflation figures seen in the nation.
“We don’t have high wage growth … the wage price index has been running at 2.4 (per cent) at the exact same time inflation was coming in at 5.1 (per cent),” Mr Burke told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“The drivers of inflation; some of them are international, some of them are previous government neglect.”
