Outdoor events in France banned due to heat wave
Parts of France have banned outdoor public events as a record heat wave sweeps across Europe.

The Bordeaux region reached 40 degrees Celsius this week with temperatures forecast to peak over the weekend.
Private events such as weddings are still permitted.
