Legislating climate target is ‘meaningless’ without ‘framework’: Birmingham
Liberal MP Simon Birmingham says simply legislating a climate target is “meaningless” without having a “framework” to achieve it.

Mr Birmingham said Parliament should have clarity on how a climate target would be reached.
“If it’s a target with consequences, the rightly we need to scrutinise the consequences and how that is laid out,” he told Sky News Australia.
“We need to see the legislation to be able to make an informed decision about whether there any consequences to that legislation.”
