Slow wages growth due to ‘low’ productivity: Bishop
Former Speaker of the House Bronwyn Bishop says there is no point in having a pay increase if inflation ramps up and “soaks up all the increase in pay you’ve had”.
Ms Bishop said wages have grown slowly because “productivity has been low”.
“Wages rise with productivity and productivity has been low, now that’s where the effort has to be put,” Ms Bishop told Sky News host Gary Hardgrave.
