Michael Gunner was ‘toxic’ for Northern Territory: Jacinta Price
Northern Territory Senate candidate Jacinta Price says former NT Chief Minister Michael Gunner’s resignation is “too little too late” and won’t help Labor in the “long run”.
Natasha Fyles has been selected as the next Chief Minister following Mr Gunner’s resignation on Tuesday.
Ms Price said it “might be a different leader”, but it is the same Labor Party that has been “running the Territory into the ground”.
“I certainly believe that this was a ploy to try to wrangle back some support for Labor,” Ms Price told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“Everyone knows that Gunner was absolutely toxic for the Territory.”
