Vladimir Putin confirms he will attend G20 summit in Indonesia
Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed he will attend this year’s G20 conference in Indonesia despite widespread demands from world leaders for his exclusion.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo says his aim was to unite the G20 and that there was no consensus among members about expelling Russia from the summit.
Mr Widodo has extended an invite to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to attend as an observer despite not being a member of the G20.
