Government ‘quick’ to distinguish itself from RBA
Sky News host Jenna Clarke says the government has been “very quick” to come out and say the Reserve Bank is “very separate” to the government,” following inflation rising to 5.1 per cent.

“I think the fact that the Coalition line that they’re running is the fact that it’s all Russia’s fault, it’s all the US’s fault, it’s all COVID’s fault, it’s all supply chain’s fault – is absolute rubbish,” she told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.
“Sure, it does weigh into it.
“But also, cost of living pressure has been a very real thing for the majority of Australians for the past couple of years now.”
