Russia has been preparing for sanctions over ‘years’
The Australian’s Adam Creighton says the West’s sanctions on Russia are “probably not going to affect” the country that much.
“There’s an economy there, that for seven years, has been steadily insulating itself from the rest of the world in full knowledge that sanctions like this would be coming in the future,” Mr Creighton said.
“It has a budget surplus, and its debt levels are very, very low.”
