Seat of Warringah a ‘tough seat to win back’ from Zali Steggall
Liberal Party Vice President Teena McQueen says the seat of Warringah will be “tough to win back” from independent member Zali Steggall.
It comes as the deadline for Liberal Party members to nominate came to a close on Friday.
“Warringah, I said to everyone, is going to be very, very tough, very tough for us to come back,” Ms McQueen told Sky News host Chris Smith.
“We’ll give it our best shot, but that’s not one of the seats we got particularly high hopes for.
“We’ll do our best, but that’s going to be very tough to win back from Zali.”
